"Moving to downtown Toronto from Victoria, BC was intimidating to say the least. The challenges of finding the perfect place to live are magnified when you cannot view the rental properties beforehand! So many things can go wrong for the renter when you are leasing an unseen property with an unknown landlord.

After sending many unreturned emails, leaving many unanswered voicemails, and speaking with some dubious landlords, I came into contact with Alma Handzic when inquiring about a condo in a new building. Alma made all the difference in my housing search!

Alma returned my initial email within the day; I provided her with some information about what I was seeking, my budget (as a student, this was paramount) and told her I was most interested to live in a particular condo building. She immediately (and I mean within a few hours!) had a list of suites, within my financial reach, in the exact building I was seeking.

I let her know which suites I was interested in, and two days later she had visited both units on my behalf. I had a lease signed within the week and my trepidation about cross-country move has turned into excitement about my new suite in the heart of the Entertainment/Financial district. I had spent over a month searching for a place, and Alma nailed me my dream suite in under a week.

The best part about working with Alma was the close contact that she kept; all of my emails were answered within the day, and we kept in contact via text messages and over the phone. She stayed on top of everything. I appreciate how she really listened to what I was looking for and what I could afford; she was more than willing to negotiate a better leasing rate on my behalf. She was incredibly informative, keeping me informed about what was going on in her search and what my ‘next steps’ would be.
